For Independent Coaches
Most professional independent coaches recognise that supervision is desirable, but you may still be hesitating or still looking for the best match for your needs. Important considerations include cost, accessibility, geographical constraints and often just uncertainty as to how to be sure that a supervisor is the right match.
Coaching on Call offers an expert service with fully trained coaching supervisors in a format that respects your time and at a rate that is appropriate and affordable. The Coaching on Call Coaching Supervision package comprises:
- One year of externally validated formal supervision with a fully qualified Coaching Supervisor
- structured around 4 regular quarterly 1 hour sessions with the same supervisor to ensure that you fulfil the formal requirements laid out in the professional guidelines
- plus a further 2 hours of supervision over the course of the year that can be taken in half hour or one hour slots whenever you wish - either with your regular supervisor or a different one. This gives you the option to experience different styles of equally expert coaching supervisors.
We see the extra 2 hours as being really flexible, either to be used as a ‘normal’ supervision session or as an on-demand service, perhaps for an immediate debrief of a difficult session or to create thinking space to prepare for a particular session.
For Internal Coaches
Internal coaches are usually managers who have received coaching training and are expected to deliver coaching within the organisation, either formally as a designated coach or less formally as part of their management role. As the CIPD report shows, very few of these individuals are receiving specific supervision or coaching support, with consequences that can include:
- individual personal stress
- inappropriate boundaries

Coaching the Coach package for coaching managers
This package is intended for managers who are being asked to develop coaching skills and attitudes. Formal coaching supervision would be overly rigorous for their needs, yet they will benefit from professional support to develop their coaching practice and Continuous Professional Development.
This package is structured around six half-hour coaching sessions over 6 months (a total of 3 hours) and can be with the same coach or with a variety of coaches, as you choose.
